What is a CRM?

CRM standards for Customer Relationship Management and usually refers to a system you have in order to keep track of your customers, the communication to and from them and has expanded to include other information such as project progress, reporting, etc.

Like all software, if your CRM is complicated to use, people won’t use it. It can have all the features in the world, but if it’s not simple, there will be no benefit at all.

A good CRM can make or break the sales process for an organization. It is the backbone of the Sales team and one of the most important tools, if set up right, for your Marketing team to be able to more effectively support Sales and the rest of the company.

Some very well know CRMs have gotten bloated over the years, making them very complicated to implement, especially if you are a small and mid-sized business.

Many CRMs were started as product-based CRMs, meaning they are great for keeping track of inventory, but not helpful with B2B and service-based companies.

We created our own CRM which allows clients to keep track of their leads from our marketing services and channel it right into the sales cycle, making them more effective because everything can be managed from one place.

Things to Look For in a Good CRM

Note: Most CRMs done have all these things

  • Easy to use.

  • Fast way to look up contacts.

  • Full email sync – allowing you to send and receive emails through the system.

  • Drip marketing (scheduled emails that go out automatically).

  • Web-based, allowing you to access from any computer.

  • Communicates with the delivery team, so you have real-time information about all the interactions with the customer in the company.

  • Complete reporting which allows you to filter customers by many factors, making it easy to find any information you want.

With all this in mind, we built our CRM for clients as an efficient way to manage their marketing, sales, delivery, billing, invoicing, scheduling and a whole lot more…all in one place.
